The L&F Board announces Adult Homeless Assist, its latest effort to aid Mobile’s homeless. We have developed a Request for Proposal (RFP) and are hopeful that with the seed funding we are offering, community partners will provide the four critical services lost when 15 Place closed three years ago. These services are laundry, showers, bag drop and mail receipt. These needs were determined through a study by the University of South Alabama Melton Center for Entrepreneurship.

Art Soup Mobile, AL- Loaves and Fish Community Ministry Inc.

Art Soup is an annual fundraiser that kicks off Homeless Awareness Week in November. It is an evening of entertainment, great food, and local art that brings attention to the homeless issues in our area and raises funds for the organizations that provide help for the homeless. The art in “Art Soup” is represented by exquisite, handcrafted bowls donated by local artists. The empty bowl signifies the fight against hunger. This year, Art Soup will feature local artists showcasing their talent throughout the event, the band SWING as well as soups and deserts from local restaurants and a cash bar.
